IBM UBC THE UK'S PREMIER UNDERGRADUATE BUSINESS CHALLENGE FOR  STUDENT EMPLOYABILITY

ENTER NOW FOR THE 2008-9 CHALLENGE AND JOIN THIS LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE!

The IBM Universities Business Challenge is the premier business simulation competition for all university undergraduates in the UK who want to have a life-changing experience. The IBM UBC is a true learning experience for all those who enter. Commencing in October each year, the competition helps students improve their decision-making skills, develop their team-working abilities and increase their knowledge of key business areas such as marketing, finance, production and human resources. The competition also enhances their employability skills and provides an important extra item for their CV.

THE WINNING TEAM 2007-8

Congratulations to the team from Anglia Ruskin University, Ashcroft International Business School, who won a high quality Grand Final at IBM UK, Bedfont Lakes, London, on March 7, 2008

Larry Hirst, Country General Manager, UK, Ireland and South Africa, gave the key note address, congratulated all the participants for their wonderful achievement in reaching the grand final.

Pictured with the trophy are: Stefan Muench (team captain), Daniel Kunert, Felix Richter and Philip Gotter. They were supported by their lecturer Robert Jones. Sonia Bannon of IBM UK presented the teams with the trophy and the winners prize.

2nd Team:

Congratulations to the team from University of Exeter who finished second:

Team members were: Laura Hassan (team captain), Catherine Locke, Benjamin Russell and Edward Jenkins. Sonia Bannon of IBM UK presented the teams with the trophy and the second prize cheque.

3rd Team:

Congratulations to the team from Leeds Metropolitan University  who finished third.

Team members were: Matthew Grey (team captain), Ben Taylor, Michael Fischer, Deepali Kaur, and Anna O'Shaughnessy. Sonia Bannon of IBM UK presented the teams with the trophy and the third prize cheque.

Participants come from all faculties...

The Universities Business Challenge is not just for Business Studies students. Students in Information Technology, Engineering, Law, Mathematics, Accounting, Medicine and a wide range of Arts and Sciences faculties have gained an invaluable understanding of the business world.
