IBM extends its Universities Business Challenge sponsorship to 2010-11

 

Congratulations to the teams that won the semi-finals and have gone through to the Grand Final to be held at at IBM Bedfont Lakes on Friday 19th March 2010. 

280 teams contested Round 1 and the top 72 teams from this round went through to the Round 2 semi-finals run live over one day to be held at 9 different venues around the UK.

The Round 2 semi-finals give participating students the opportunity to meet fellow competitors, meet graduate employers and hear presentations on internships, placements and graduate schemes from the UBC sponsoring companies - and above all to demonstrate their talent and develop their employability skills.

 

HERE ARE THE 2009-10 GRAND FINALISTS

 Here are the 10 teams that have won in each Round 2 semi-final - 9 outright winners and the closest runners-up:

 

1st Semi-final winners on 22 February 2010 at the Royal Navy, Portsmouth

  

   Congratulations to the team from the University of Portsmouth Business School - European Business Programme. Team members are: Antonia Mahler, Carsten Piesbergen, Marie Toepfer, Jan van Eickels and Evelin Eich. Their lecturer Briony Boydell is on the left.

 

2nd Semi-final winners on 24 February 2010, Lloyds TSB, Solihull

3rd Semi-final winners on 25 February 2010, at Royal Bank of Scotland, London

4th Semi-final winners on 26 February 2010, at Royal Bank of Scotland, Gogarburn, Edinburgh
